This is the operation and process to remove any contamination from the metal surface for the best plating condition.

De-greasing→Water Rinsing→Pickling→Water Rinsing→Electrolytic Cleaning→Water Rinsing→Neutralization (Activation)→Water Rinsing→Plating

Cleaning Process and Contamination Removal Mechanism

1.Pre-cleaning

Most grease is removed by degreasing.

3.Pickling

Pickling image

While most scales are removed by pickling; smuts occur.
Remained grease lowers the pickling action.

4.Anodic Electrolytic Cleaning

Anodic Electrolytic Cleaning image

Although acidic smuts due to pickling improvement are removed through anodic electrolyzing, thin oxidized coating is formed.

5.Neutralization (Activation)

清浄面が得られる

Oxidized coating is removed and the surface is cleaned.
※ Poorly degreased parts in Process 3 ruin the following all processes.
