YUKEN's advantage

Our accumulated knowledge as cleaning agent pioneer is fully utilized in our coating process.

1. Our know-how as a cleaner manufacturer has been applied to clean dies

Cleaning pre-treatment will have a great effect on film adhesion.
We are developing original cleaning processes for dies through our experience in the chemical cleaning industry.

2. Low temp. treatment (450℃) results in less distortion of parts

Processing temperature for each surface treatment

We have succeeded in achieving a high level of filming hardness (equal to or better than TD and CVD processes) through using low temperature treatment. This leads to less distortion of parts.

*Steel materials require tempering at or above 520℃ at least two times.

3. Coating removal knowledge that comes from our R&D ability as a chemical manufacturer.

Our chemical developing experience enables us to remove PVD, TD and CVD film using chemicals (no physical scratching). This leads to less chapping and the ability to re-coat used dies.

* CVD and TD processes when using shot-blast process

With the use of shot-blasting, the surface will be scratched and  extensive lapping will be needed. (Surface picture 400×)

* Y-coat process using chemical removal

Even after removal of  the film, the surface will have a mirror look, and only needs soft lapping. (Surface after chemical film removal 400×)

4. High level of defect analysis capability and quality control

We can perform analyses using zoomed observations, thickness measurements, cross-section observations and other methods.
Our qualified staff and analytical equipment enable us to provide excellent customer service.
